Golf Las Americas is in a privileged setting, sitting as it does, in a natural ampitheatre, with a dramatic backdrop of mountains to the back and views across the sea to La Gomera at the front.

Once on the course, it is hard to believe that the hustle and bustle of Las Americas and Los Cristianos, Tenerife's main tourist resorts, is only a stone's throw away.

The championship course has eighteen holes which range from a par 3 of 166 metres to a par 5 at 456 metres. It was designed by John Jacobs Golf Associates and has a total length of 6,039 meters.

The course is maintained to the highest standard and many holes have attractive water features which are home to breeding families of ducks, geese & swans.

In addition the course is rich with plants and trees including many kinds of palm such as the Washington, Phoenix, Date, Philippians and Kent. Native species take pride of place with fine specimens of dragon tree (Dracaena draco) and a variety of giant cactii and indigenous succulents..

The total surface area of the course and its complementary complex of varied tourist accommodation is 90 hectares.

The club house which is set overlooking the 18th green and the 1st and 10th tee has fantastic facilities for its guests including a good restaurant, shop, TV room and locker and shower facilities.

Also the practice range has a prime position a short distance from the Club House.

The course has hosted many professional and amateur tournaments over the years. Two of the most memorable tournaments were the Seniors Professionals Championship of Spain held in 2003 and the Ladies European Tour event the Tenerife Ladies Open.

The owner of the Golf Las Americas course created the beautiful Hotel Las Madrigueras (which is only the distance of a par 5 from the clubhouse) to allow non-resident golfers to enjoy their sport while indulging in the absolute luxury of a 5 star deluxe hotel between rounds. The reception of the hotel is one floor above the gof buggy car park. After a sumptous breakfast golfers simply stroll downstairs and hop on to their complementary buggies and on out to the course.

As far as golf holidays go - it doesn't get any better than that.
