There seems to be a bit of a positive buzz going on around the TreBol and Chapparal complexes in Costa Del Silencio. And not before time. Those bar and shop owners have had to put up with a great deal of disruption what with all the renovations and changes in the area. Some could hold on no longer and sadly closed their doors but for those that gritted their teeth and kept on going there looks to be good times a’coming.
For one thing the new park at Guaranaña is nearing completion. Granted it may not be quite impressive enough to draw people to the area from Santa Cruz or Los Gigantes but it will be an attraction to those from all over Costa Del Silencio and Las Galletas. After working up a hunger on the climbing wall or bike paths some will enjoy a picnic but others will wander up the road to those hardy souls who have clung on by their fingernails waiting for a lucky break.
There are newcomers to the area as well. One that is making a name for itself already is The Lucky Leprechaun – and how could it not? With live music and typical Irish charm the hosts Joe, Mark and Ziggy make everyone feel like an old friend. A good craic is guaranteed and did I mention the free Irish stew every Sunday?
If you decide to pop along just head towards Chapparal (the complex next to the fugliest fountain in the world) and follow the sound of laughter and music. Or if your going on a Sunday, copy the Bisto Boy and follow your nose to a great bowl of free Irish Stew.
See you there!
