Mexican star Alejandro Fernandez made his first mark on the international charts via ranchero and mariachi music but soon added Latin pop and ballads to his repertoire. His 1997 album Me Estoy Enamorando topped Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart and from it came several chart-topping singels including En el Jardín – a duet with Gloria Estefan.
Since then Alejandro Fernandez has consistently released albums that have been well received in the Latin charts and alternating these with releases of ranchero style albums for his original fan base.
