Sweaty Dreads and Nostalgia- Simply Red in Tenerife

I saw Simply Red in concert about a thousand years ago in Hong Kong. I remember being squashed up in a small space dancing and singing my heart out, so close to the stage that I  got sprayed with sweat every time the dreaded one flicked his locks back.

Those were the days, eh?

Now the ten kilos or whatever that Mick lost when he cut off his sweaty dreads have gathered round my backside and both Old Red and I would have to admit that there is no such thing as Holding Back the Years.

Tickets are still available for Mick’s Last Stand or to be more accurate the Simply Red Farewell concert which is to be held at the Campo de Golf in Costa Adeje on 20th of July and cost from €40 to €150.  Maybe I ‘ll see you there. I´ll be easy enough to spot just look for the wee Scottish bachle squeezed right up front  dancing and singing her her out.
